It’s with our heaviest of hearts that we must announce that our beloved Djimmy, the Cherry-crowned Mangabey has passed away.

Our boy was surrounded by his carers, and of course his piggies, for his peaceful journey across the rainbow bridge 🌈. In recent months Djimmy has been fighting a very severe case of diabetes, which sadly he couldn’t fight any longer.

Djimmy was found wandering along a busy road in Germany and then spent years by himself in a cat and dog home, before being rescued by Stichting AAP, and then finding a permanent home with us in 2017. He has touched many hearts during his time here, and you just couldn’t help but fall in love with this special Mangabey. He will be fondly remembered for his love of squeaky toy piggies, his sweet grunt greeting, and his special little tongue flick & head wiggle combo, that he saved especially for his carers.
